A partnership between education and business is key to closing the skills gap and improving how we prepare and train individuals for work. The District of Columbia Career & Technical Education (DC CTE) Network is looking for paid internship opportunities for selected high school students. Our Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs take the form of small learning communities within larger schools and are organized around CTE Career Clusters, such as Engineering, Health Sciences, Hospitality & Tourism, or Information Technology. DC CTE students have specialized experience in their career pathways, which uniquely qualifies them for top-tier internship opportunities. These interns also complete an employability skills curriculum that focuses on poise, initiative, and tenacity. Paid internships during the summer months may be supplemented by funds from the Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program.

Could you use a qualified, enthusiastic high school student to assist with special projects and administrative tasks?

Would you like to invest in your company's future by creating a pipeline of future employees?

Would you like to help one or more deserving District students be better prepared for college and the workforce?
